Insect ecology

This laboratory analyses aspects related to the biodiversity of the Diptera, Culicidae. The work carried out by this laboratory also includes the study of the insect communities that live in phytotelmata (plant cavities that accumulate water, such as leaf axils, holes in trunks, etc.).In addition, studies are carried out on the ecology of the Culicidae and Ceratopogonidae (Diptera) and in particular of a species of health importance, the Aedes aegypti mosquito, especially at the beginning of the reproductive season.
